The major gateway town to Jervis Bay, where most of the dive boats, whale-watching cruises and dolphin-watching cruises depart from. The White Sands Park in the centre of Huskisson offers barbeques facilities and play area for the children. Adjacent to the Park is Huskisson Beach which is an ideal sheltered bay suited to families. Huskisson is a old shipbuilding town on the sandy shores of Jervis Bay, surveyed as far back as 1840s but settled years later in the 1860s. It was named after William Huskisson, Colonial Secretary in the late 1820s, and is commonly referred to as 'Husky' hence the name of the famous local hotel The Husky Pub.

Vincentia was originally known as South Huskisson and was just a locality until the arrival of land developer Henry Halloran in the 1950s, who renamed the area and set it on the path to being the holiday township that it is today.
